While in Ouro Preto, we visited the home of Elizabeth Bishop, an American Poet who was born in Worcester, Mass and who lived in Brazil for sixteen years.

Ouro Preto is a city full of ghosts; I felt them everywhere we went.  Tiradentes, the African slaves, the Portuguese soldiers, the poor miners, and, American poet, Elizabeth Bishop.  All, at some point were part of this now historic City.
